The annual Charter Day Celebration, traditionally held the day after the Convocation, is the culminating event of a weekend dedicated to celebrating the anniversary of the signing of the University Charter by President Andrew Johnson on March 2, 1867. This year’s Celebration will be a virtual experience live streamed Saturday, March 5, 2022, beginning at 7:00 p.m. (EST). Like no other event on the University calendar, the Charter Day Celebration displays the University’s strengths in many dimensions.
