Blackburn Ballroom East

Elect her is a national initiative, focused on encouraging and training women to run for collegiate local and national political positions. Each year Howard hosts a day long training to address the need to expand the pipeline of women candidates and to diminish the longstanding political leadership gender gap. The annual conference consists of hands on campaign skills, presentations from inspiring local speakers and discussions on research on women in government. Mayor Muriel Bowser will be speaking!

The General Elections Commission of the Howard University Student Association would like to announce that Spring Elections are underway. Students have the opportunity to run for over 100 seats across the undergraduate and graduate levels. In order to participate in the election process and be elected to student government, prospective candidates must have a 2.7 GPA or higher and must be in academic, financial, and judicial good standing, as well as complete an application and receive signatures from 3% of the constituency they would like to represent.

This event is open to undergraduate, graduate and professional students and will feature dinner, a keynote speaker and an open discussion about cervical cancer following the documentary. Ms.
